You will have to continually upgrade these in order to have access to more advanced structures like defense turrets and unit production buildings where you can train your troop units and assign them to attack or defend as the need arises. Starting with your construction yard you proceed to build your refineries, accumulators, power plants and immediately needed structures to build up your base. Building your base is straight forward though not as animated like the other C&C games. You then choose a sector in a large battle map where you have to build your base, your defenses and your assault units. You either work for the Brotherhood of Kane or the GDI. At the start, you of course will have to choose your side. This means you cannot complete a battle in a matter of minutes or hours like the mission type objectives found in regular C&C. For starters, the game is a long-term RTS game. Though sharing some strategic elements with the old C&C games ( C&C, Red Alert and Generals), there is a whole lot of difference on how the game is played. For those of you who are not new to the C&C RTS game series and have been fans for a long time, C&C Tiberium Alliances is not the game you probably would expect it to be. C&C Tiberium Alliances is the latest installment and online multi-player version of the game. There was even an FPS version of the game called C&C Renegade which garnered a lot of positive reviews. The game became so popular at the time that Command and Conquer or C&C became a major influence in the design and game play of succeeding RTS games. The race to gain control of the Tiberium resources which though dangerous to humans, present a future of unlimited power and energy that both sides have been fighting for since the first Command and Conquer game was released in 1995. The war between the Global Defense Initiative and the Brotherhood of NOD has been quite a long standing one.
